Hot
The forecast high for today is a high 108 degrees and a low of 69-74 degrees. What an odd feeling to go outside long after the sun has gone down and it is still around 90 degrees.
For those of you reading this that don't live in the desert, try this sometime: take a hair dryer and turn it to it's highest heat setting and with medium speed. Let that blow into your face for about a half hour. That will give you a small idea of what cruising around Tucson is like with the windows down.
It takes it's toll. There is a very enjoyable aspect to the heat to be sure. After awhile, though, the body just says, "Enough already!" and you find yourself spending more and more time inside still congratulating yourself for choosing to live in the desert and being so rugged for being able to handle the desert's heat. The mid-west equivalent of this would be wearing heavy plaid shirts to the office yet having no idea how to effectively swing an axe to cut wood even if your life depended on it.

I can relate to that blow-dryer wind feeling. We're even lucky to maintain 108 degrees for the rest of summer. Right now we're having more than that.
